Getting there is not as daunting as this map makes it appear. If you take highway 1 south out of Half Moon Bay, you will need to turn left at Highway 84 and head east towards La Honda. In approximately 1 mile, you will see an adobe like store on your left and you're there. The store is 100 years old and really is a general store. You can buy nearly anything you want, from clothes to cooking utensils to books (i.e. Benjamin Franklin's treatise entitled "Fart Proudly" - a serious paper on how scientists would do a great service to mankind if they would invent something to deal with gastronomic rumblings). They usually have "day" music on Saturdays and Sundays and boast a full compliment of beverages at the bar. Great place to stop if you're out cruising.
