Bio
By way of Kansas City and Chicago to San Francisco...
images/stan-burn.jpg For Stan Erhart, growing up on a Kansas farm was a musical experience; where hard work was accompanied by the twang of country music keeping time to the exhaust note of a John Deere tractor. Fuel was added to the mix by horn players on AM radio, and a foggy memory of Louie 'Satchmo' Armstrong wiping his brow at a Kansas City show. Stage bands and garage bands ultimately led to a music degree, laying a foundation on which to build through years of club work in Chicago... before moving to San Francisco to form his own band.

Today, The Stan Erhart Band brings its soulful mix of Blues, R&B, Rock, & Jazz to audiences everywhere. Signature grooves and dynamics, combined with a 'drive fast & take chances' attitude, are key to their success. Every performance is new, and every performance counts.

"San Francisco singer/songwriter Stan Erhart exists in that blues-rock space occupied by John Hiatt, Warren Zevon, and Dave Alvin. With his weary, gravelly voice, Erhart exists well outside of the pop mainstream, but should find fans among those who seek a rootsy, American style..." Doug Cornell, HitSession.com
